Alexa Howder, LCSW, works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and the challenges that can come with feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of why certain things feel so difficult.
Alexa believes therapy is not about telling you what to do or expecting you to have everything figured out. Instead, she creates a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, talk openly about what you are experiencing, and begin making sense of the patterns, experiences, and emotions that have shaped you.
Her style is warm, relatable, and down-to-earth. She values building genuine connections with her clients and believes that feeling understood is an important part of the therapeutic process. Alexa helps clients develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion while also learning practical tools they can use outside of the therapy room.
Alexa takes an individualized, client-centered approach and incorporates evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she works collaboratively with each client to determine what feels most helpful for their needs and goals.

Kirstie Garrison, LMHCA, NBCC, CTAS, is a mental health counselor with more than ten years of cumulative experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults. She holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling, an EdS in Experiential Counseling, and a post–graduate certificate in Adventure Based Counseling. Her professional background spans school-based services, community mental health, substance use treatment, and experiential therapeutic work, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the diverse ways people grow, heal, and navigate change.
Kirstie’s therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative, rooted in the belief that wellness is not just the absence of symptoms but the presence of a life that feels sustainable, connected, and aligned. She emphasizes the importance of nutrition, movement and play, restorative sleep, healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, and effective communication as foundational to nervous system regulation and whole-person well-being. Her work draws from trauma-informed, somatic, and experiential modalities to help clients explore anxiety, stress, relational wounds, and major life transitions with compassion and clarity.
A core part of her philosophy is encouraging clients to step into their lives with courage—taking meaningful risks, facing long-avoided fears, and learning to live in a way that feels unapologetically authentic. She is particularly committed to helping individuals cultivate a deeper sense of belonging—to themselves, to others, and to the spaces where their lives unfold. Kirstie values collaborative work with clients, drawing on their strengths, curiosity, and lived experience to support meaningful and lasting change.

Sean Scroggins, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and retired Air Force veteran. He earned his master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University and has specialized training in trauma and chronic pain. Sean believes meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen and understood—not simply as a collection of symptoms, but as a whole person whose experiences, emotions, relationships, and history matter.
Sean works with individuals facing trauma, chronic pain, addiction, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and questions of identity, purpose, and meaning. His approach is collaborative, humanistic, and grounded in evidence-based care, with a deep respect for the dignity of each person's lived experience. Rather than assuming difficult thoughts, emotions, or physical experiences need to be corrected, Sean believes they deserve to be understood and approached with curiosity and compassion. He recognizes that accepting difficult experiences does not require approving of them, and that change does not require invalidation. Through a genuine therapeutic relationship, Sean helps clients reduce suffering, better understand themselves, reconnect with their values, and discover what healing and meaningful change might look like for them.
